A National Guard helicopter got stuck in the mud after an emergency landing in Texas.

The chopper landed in Baytown, in a muddy field off of Interstate 10 late Tuesday. Baytown is about 26 miles east of Houston. There were no reports of injuries.

A truck driver said he was sleeping when he felt his parked truck vibrating.

"I didn't know what was wrong," said Conrad Kessler. "I thought someone was coming into my truck. I looked out the windows, and the pilot, he did an excellent job putting her down. It could have been a lot worse."

Kessler said the pilots told him there was a mechanical issue with the aircraft.

"Something in the transmission on both sides of the chopper had overheated, and his emergency light came on. So he needed to get her down before a problem happened."

The National Guard has not said how or when they will remove the helicopter.
